Big Haircut
Mazie went in for a big haircut today. Here she is before.
And here she is after.
She’s really excited about having bangs and looks super cute! She donated her to hair to Locks of Love.

Mazie recently switched up her music tastes a bit. Tammy reloaded her music player with brand new stuff and she’s been having a great time. I asked her for her favorite songs in order tonight. This is what she gave me.

100 Days of School

January Christmas Tree
It may not be Christmas anymore, but that doesn’t mean Mazie can’t still draw Christmas trees on Christmas paper!
Field Trip to Grocery Store
Mazie’s 1st grade class had a fun field trip to see the workings of a grocery store last week:
We had a great day for a fun walk to the grocery store! We literally got to see some very cool places behind the scenes and some cool machines. And on the way home we had a special appearance by a hawk that flew right over our heads while we were posing for a picture… It was a great day. — Ms. May

Please Don’t Litter
We live right across from Minnehaha Creek and the creek is very low right now. There hasn’t been a good rain for a long time and the creek is just a trickle. We all were walking in the park yesterday and walked out in some dry area of the creek. We picked up four pieces of broken glass, an aluminum can, a foot-long section of car siding (huh?) and a discarded insect repellent bottle.
Mazie and I try to pick up any trash we find when we are by the creek. She made this sign and we are going to see if we can post it by the area we often find garbage.
Twinkle Toes Shoes
Mazie was super excited to get a pair of Skecher Twinkle Toes shoes. They have these incredibly bright LED lights in them and sparkle/flash when you walk. Apparently “everyone” has them. They are very cute!
